GRIEF  Counselling

Grief in whatever form it is, is an time of overwhelming emotions, yearning and heavy loss. Grief is the psychological response to loss. People usually assume that grief only means the loss of a loved family member, but grief can be the loss of anything or any situation that meant a lot to an individual. An individual can grieve after a divorce, loss of a pet, loss of a thing that meant a great deal etc.

Social support and cultural perceptions of grief play a major role in shaping grieving processes. There is not universal timeline to grief, each person grieves differently. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is only healthy and unhealthy or adaptive and maladaptive.
